Inspired at 60

Birthdays are invitations to live an inspired life,
to be part of the wholeness that flows all around us,
a stage when we are ready to give back what we have learned
to inspire others and be inspired again.

Birthdays are turning points,
for repositioning, realigning and resetting our course
to reinvent our life in a new rhythm.

Turning 60 is the time to bring the pieces of our self home,
parts we thought we have forgotten -
the child who loved to hula hoop,
the girl with magical thinking,
the woman who fell in love, broke her heart,
became a wife, then a widow
and was transformed.

It is the age when we should attempt audacious things,
awaken our brave authentic self
and ask fierce questions:

Am I doing what makes me feel most alive?

What would I do if I were not afraid to fail?

What is the story I tell myself about my life
and how would I change that story?

Am I "living to the point of tears?"

Birthdays are wake up calls
to pay attention to who we are,
cross the boundaries of who we were
to become the future Self we always wanted to be.

Birthdays are a time to surrender safety,
to give fearlessly, to simplify our life,
to give our dreams a name and pursue them with courage,
to find what gives us joy and do it again and again.

From this passionate core,
we can listen deeply, share wisdom freely,
practice compassion daily,
and be fully present in our own journey.

Life is a sacred journey, . . .it is about change,
growth, discovery, movement, transformation,
continuously expanding your vision of what is possible,
stretching your soul,
learning to see clearly and deeply,
listening to your intuition,
taking courageous challenges at every step along the way.

You are on the path. . . .
shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of
triumph, of healing, of courage, of beauty,
of wisdom, of power, of dignity,
and of love.
