Life altering events can happen to any of us - loss, accidents, a change of fortunes,
illness, displacement - suddenly our world changes and we lose our equilibrium.

Sometimes it takes something drastic to open a portal of awareness when we are
stuck in the realities of everyday life. Getting jarred out of our comfort zone brings
us to the edge, forces us to pay attention, cracks us wide open to release
unconscious possibilities that were lying dormant within.
It sets us on a journey of not-knowing - not knowing what comes next, not knowing
how to plan, what to worry about - breaking us open to blossom into who we are
meant to be. Every catastrophe can hand us exactly what we need to awaken into
who we really are.

understanding life in the deepest way possible.
This deep awakening is usually triggered by life altering events - disrupting our
lives, our way of thinking, our relationships, our connection to what we thought
was real in our lives - making us realize in a flash the transience of our lives.
Living like today is all we have is the fierce present moment awareness that keeps
us awake in a world consumed with the pursuit of transient things. We must
cultivate this wakefulness that enriches every moment and not go back to sleep.
